Alec does the work and runs each project himself, from the first visit to the final walkthrough. That means one point of contact. How Alec Learned the Trade
Alec learned remodeling by building kitchens alongside an experienced remodeler. That meant learning the whole job, not one piece of it: tearing out old cabinets, fixing what turns up behind them, setting new cabinets level and square, working around counters, laying tile and getting the finish details right.
From there he went on to run projects on his own from start to finish. Running a project is its own skill. It means planning the order of the work, ordering the right materials at the right time, bringing in other trades when the job needs them, and keeping the homeowner in the loop the whole way. Salt and Cedar is built around doing both: the hands-on work and the running of the job.

Planning before anything is ordered
Most remodeling problems start with a decision made too late. A cabinet that blocks a window, a backsplash tile that does not work with the counter, a floor ordered before the cabinet layout was settled. Alec helps you with the layout, the cabinets and the finishes before anything is ordered, so the pieces fit together on paper before they arrive at your door.
One point of contact
You will have Alec's number, and he is the one you talk to about schedule, choices and questions. When other trades are needed, such as a plumber for bathroom plumbing, Alec brings them in and plans the work around them. You are not left coordinating people yourself.
Honest about what is behind the walls
Older kitchens and bathrooms sometimes hide surprises. Alec looks for signs of trouble on the first visit and tells you what he sees, so you know where the unknowns are before work starts.
